I have some questions...

1. How is a pit any better/different from stairs?

2. What the f*** is a quest template?

With a pit warp, you don't have to set the blue square on the screen you're warping to. The tile warp will place you in the exact spot on the "warped to" screen.

Quest template.. Um. I'm not exactly sure. I have an idea, but I don't want to mislead you. So, I'll let someone else answer it. :)

What IS pit and how do you use it??

It's a combo. You use it with tilewarps.

But what is it used to? there is already warps....

Create pits.. Pit combos are more realistic than stair warps for this purpose, since you don't have to set the blue square.

Have you NEVER used 1.92?

Yeah, but not too much though. Well, you're very helpful, thanks a lot Teilyr! :)

Noticed that we usually start long discussions, Teilyr? We did that yesterday too! And other times as well! :)

The pit is good since you can have several stairs in a room that lead to various parts of another room. So you can have complex stair mazes bewteen 2 rooms on 2 floors. Pit also saved Angel Land from Medusa.

I did not know that! :reading:

I like those long conversations, except when they end because no one is talking to you because they've left because the 4th period bell rang and a teacher hit you with a broom. Thankfully, that never happened. But the broom still rests there, ready to come to life. I'm gonna have nightmares again.

Quest templates are major, major, MAJOR operations that will import many many features into your graphics pack. It's more or less a sudden change in graphics pack mid quest. Although, it is -seriously- preferrable to change it before you even start.

It's also used if you set up a graphics pack just the way you like it, and you can export it for future use or for sharing it with other people. Am I right, Jigglysaint?

Yeah, like yesterday, Britannian! I got late for class.... Oh well, my next class is in 1 & a half hour! YAY!!

Yeah, I know. Classes get like that. It's a good thing I have 1st off, and 4th period conference. So I'm usually on (Eastern Time) 7:45 till 8:30, and 10:15 to 10:48. (Again, Eastern time. I don't know where you are, so I can't match it with yours!

So am I right, Jigglysaint? I'm not entirely sure of it, so I would like some clarification from the resident Master.

Quest templates are compressed graphics packs that you can set up so that when you start a new quest, you have a base starting point, complete with tiles, combos, palettes, and so forth. It basically keeps you from having to manually import a graphics pack when you start a new quest if you want to do something different than the original graphics.

Ah! You're not Jigglysaint! :scared:

*kidding*

Aah. So I was right. OK then. Thank you Dark Nation. And I think I even know how these are applicable to new quests! Good to have.
