I have it. The only thing that is fun is the animal raising aspect but you are barely able to take care of him before your villagers start "wanting more food." They always seem to be hungry so I think I'll just kill all my villagers and sell the damn game.

Black & White is quite possibly the worst game ever to be praised by just about every gaming magazine. Methinks Lionhead did a bit of bribing to some reviewers..

Totally. Everyone made this game sound like Jesus Christ in a box. It was more like a tax audit mixed with a migraine. I hated that game. Good thing I only pirated it.

The game had some potential to be good. I mean, the creature was kind of cool, assuming he would have worked better. I found my bad-ass tiger to be more of an idiot than anything else. It was nearly impossible to teach him any spells.

The villagers are what ruined it. "We need more food" over and over and over and over and over.. and then there was lumber. The resource was so damn scarce because you had to chop down trees and there were only so many. Supposively they regrew but it took forever. And EVERYTHING required lumber. I believe ppl even required lumber just to survive (like food). It was bad.

Then there was converting other villages. This was the whole point of the game. And it was lame. You either threw mounds of grain at them, or blew them up with fireballs. This was all you did. This was the whole game right here.

The whole good/bad thing was rediculuous, because it was nearly impossible to be good. I was the nicest diety there was, and I still ended up with an Evil creature (who ironically acted good).

What the game desperately needed was some sort of combat option. And NOT via the creatures. Creature combat was pointless. The only thing it did was if you beat one creature, he would have to respawn which took a whole 2 minutes or something. And creatures were pointless to begin with.. so yeah, dumb. I wish villagers could fight... the game might have had some merit if that was possible.. bah..

actually, it would be cool if they applied the creature training to some sorta pokemon training type thing. for the most part, the creature rocked. i loved my ape. and it is hard to be a good god. i just said screw it and was as evil as could be. and i only managed to sucessfully teach my creature the water spell and the healing one. he would shoot a fireball every now and then, but usually only in my village:angry:

I have it. I've haven't got far enough into it to say it is good or bad.

Yeah, now that Warlock explains everything that I couldn't convey in my own words, I now see how fucking shitty the game is. Lionhead studios should be shut down, hehehe. >:)
