I bought a new Graphics Card today (a GeForce 2 MX 200) and installed it. It seems to work fine but it sets my resolution to 640x800 and my colors to 16 Colors. With these settings I cant run any games anyways. I think there might have been a problem with the drivers. Does anyone have any ideas?

Have you tried resetting the color and resolution yet? If you have, I can't help you.

Maybe there's a problem in the drivers. Search for an upgrade.

The strange thing is that I went to their site for Tech Support and they dont even have it listed as their product! WTF? All try some other place.

Yeah I would say you need to update the drivers, to a google search for drivers, or if you're using Windows, go to Microsofts home page, you'll find a link to driver updates there.

for Windows 9x (http://www.nvidia.com/view.asp?IO=win9x_30.82)
For Windows 2000 and XP (http://www.nvidia.com/view.asp?IO=winxp-2k_30.82)

The drivers on these pages work for all GeForce cards. Click on the appropriate link and download the file and install. Next step is to obviously reboot.

Make sure you have the right monitor drivers installed.

It should've come with drivers on the cd with the installation. I got a new graphics card recently - it works fine. If it doesn't work, maybe you can get what I got if you want, the ATI Radeon 7000. It was only 60 bucks. Or, you can get something more expensive if you want, but ATI is good.

That's what happens when the card is just a regular VGA unknown card. You need to follow the install instructions carefully. Likely the drivers weren't installed as they aren't active, or you didn't uninstall your previous video card before installing the geforce 2.

Well, what type of GeForce is it? PCI or AGP interface?

YES!! I just got it to work. It was an AGP and when I read your post it gave me an idea. I went into set up and the AGP Drive was turned off! Well I got it to work. Im downloading the PSO Demo right now.

It pays to follow their instructions and double check things. Glad you got it to work. The Geforce 2 MX is a good card. I have a PCI version of that in my old PC.
