I heard on the news that will most likely strengthen to a hurricane with 85 mph winds before it makes landfall, and will re-organize itself as well.

It will most likely make landfall somewhere near New Orleans, and probaby cause a decent amount of flooding in that city.

Had a disaster once in 3rd grade...prayed for it and it came true...
Gas explosion obliterated more than half the building, but we had school in the middle school building.

I remember freshman year when we got a blizzard and they called a half day in the middle of my lunch period. I didn't actually hear the announcement, I heard this ROAR make its way through the crowd from one end of the cafeteria to the other, and then everyone got up and started dancing around like idiots and shrieking. Good times...

last year our high school let out half-way through the day for threat of snow. it snowed maybe an inch, then the sun came out. by 1:00 it was 70 outside. so we got a free day off.

My high school occasionally got bomb threats.
Most of the time we would be sent home early as a result.

Wow...and I thought hurricanes were scarey! So you actually want them to come by? Thats...weird...*shrug* Living in the midwest, our natural disasters are really bad...tornados...we don't pray for tornados to get us out of school...hell no.
