Is there anyone here that has real old issues of Electronic Gaming Monthly from around the time when they covered A Link to the Past, probably sometime between 1991-1992? I'm told there is a interesting interview with Shigeru Miyamoto about the Zelda: A Link to the Past and I'd like to find it. I think he talks about the game and the story, and the game's title.

It looks like this interview may be around the 1991 December issue of EGM, since they have ALttP on the cover.

That August issue says something about Zelda 3 under the first little section of yellow text.

Haha, that's funny. That EGM with Zelda 3 on the cover has the castle from Dragon's Lair in the background!

Oh man, that is like RIGHT (as in only a couple issues) before I subscribed to that.. I do have that SMW issue tho ;)

Insidentally I DO have an issue where Zelda's Adventure for CD-i was reviewed.. omg that game looked like shit.

Ok, since I'm such a nice guy :D

The first one is a preview, the second is a review..

Edit: wow, my third edit.. upon further inspection I believe I also have November 1989, which happens to have a preview of Super Mario World in it with BETA screenshots.. which in fact don't look a thing like the final product.. they look more like SM All-Stars' SMB3 graphics.. When I get home (for Thanksgiving) I shall have to dig it up and scan it for you guys..

I heard Zelda's Adventure was supposed to be the better of the 3 Zelda CD-i games...hmmm, well, I always thought it looked kinda neat. Those other two however, ugh, I can still remember the sounds of their horribly done cartoon voices...

Actually I shouldn't say it was a preview, more of a blurb.. there was like 2 screenshots I believe, and a paragraph about the game.. they mentioned that you could walk up walls (which I suppose is true :D)

I'll have to mention to TSA those scans if he doesn't already know.

I might just ask the EGM boards but I don't think I'll get much of a response either.
