OK, WTF? (AGN Server related)

Right now I'm using 66.154.89.163. Breaker's announcement tells me to use only armageddongames.net. That, however, resolves me to a version of UBB that has a message by Inori telling me to return to 66.154.89.163. Could somebody *please* get this thing straightened out? And is there a reason the other servers have not been shut down yet?

OK, I just checked, and http://armageddongames.net takes me to the right place whereas http://www.armageddongames.net does not, which is especially odd since the whois for both resolves to 66.154.89.163... :confuse2:

And I don't know what Inori's thinking, but Breaker's authority overrides Inori's so disregard connecting via the IP.

The server may be sending you to a different directory on it depending on what URL you typed. I've seen situations with this method utilized before ;).

Well, Inori is correct but it's just going to confuse members... There are two IPs, one of which takes you to the set of forums used by most of our members. If you insist on this method, best way to do it is check who's online... If you see lots of people, use it! Just go with the crowd, and the crowd is on .net

inori (with a small i) is thinking that for some people, the DNS lookup was still sending them to the old version of the forums when they typed www.armageddongames.net into their browser. If this problem hasn't corrected itself yet, it should in the next day or two (it depends on your ISP). In the meantime, if you see an announcement by inori at the top of GD, you're on the wrong (old) version of the forums.

Yeah, that was weird. I read the announcement to update the bookmarks and thought to myself, "no problem, I'm already using that address" and thought nothing further. Didn't even think about the DNS not being updated. It is now though, fortunately.
