I was looking through my old bookmarks and remembered the band, Generic that had a page of video game music they did. Might interest some, and I figure the website won't be around forever. From the brief stuff I sampled, it sounds good. I'm downloading their version of the Zelda 1 underworld theme now.

Game Over - (Punchout song)

RISC
--- used to be at http://www.olywa.net/jhealy
They had a great rendition of Punch Out!! that the Minibosses' version is based on. Don't know if they are still on the web now.

Any links to other sites that do video game music are welcome.

OK I downloaded the Zelda - Fortress mp3. Its good. I was hoping it was going to start out soft and then get upbeat, but it keeps the same beat throughout. Its like one of those songs you can just keep playing over and over. I like more now after the 5th restart heh.

The Punch Out!! song by Game Over is awesome, though kinda sad or depressing because of the way it ends.

I still have RISC's mp3 of Punch Out!! that the Minibosses did a cover of. It's a little more true to the game, and even has the sound effect of when you get knocked down halfway through it.

I just listened to Generic - Contra - Snowfields, good too. Starts kinda weird. I wanted it to get more upbeat with guitars like other versions of Contra I've heard but I guess this is Generic's style, and its different.
