there's a clan forum for an online game i play where it's not uncommon for members to have over 20,000 posts...

More than half the population has 10K + posts, and people post about 1000 posts a week sometimes...

So do they use the boards like chat?
1000 a week is like 140 per day, I only average 6 a day and thats fairly good.

The problem with a very large board is that the number of posts is usually directly correlated to the percentage of posts that are spam.

AGN IS PERFECT!!!! I'm sure AGN could get better, but so far AGN is the ideal way a forum should be run. I really don't want AGN to get much bigger otherwise GD and GGD will turn to shit. Threads would be on the second or third page the next day (GD is almost like that, but I can keep up with it.)

I feel AGN could do with a little more diversity, I just don't want that much more members because it could get out of hand. Ever see the IGN message boards, or should I say the IGN shit forums.

IGN Boards have a bunch of "nonsense" that gets too detailed...and people tend to repeat stuff without remembering they've said it once.

Yes these boards are perfect. I am a member of some faster moving ones (SWG, IGN) and they are to damn fast. But Im a member of another Zelda fan site that are to damn slow.

I hate forums that are all spam and cussing and no content. Been to a few of those, but I never signed up. AGN's spoiled me.

i don't care if some is spam... as long as there's a point to having the forum there in the first place...

AGN is a nice place.... :)

I now a place thats growing really fast!! It gets like on average 2-3 people a day!!
