Blah! I don't want to have to look at a 200 post thread for the answer to this question. Basically, I'm stuck at the beginning of the train station. There is a block I can bomb, but it does nothing except turn into a wall tile. Is there a secret in the room with the train?

Well, I think it's a bug. I don't think it's supposed to be a wall...I found that too. What version are you using? I'm using doy098.qst...so.....

I'm using 98 as well.

It is not a bug .When you bomb a block , try to push some blocks to open the doors.,and find a switch ,step on it and go back to the room where is a train.;)

When I bomb the block, a wall tile is left in it's place, so I can't move the block above it. Are you sure you are using 98? I know I am. Maybe I need a bugfix.

Yes I am using 98. After you step on switch than you are not able to move the block ,and you should go back to room where is a train.

We are talking about the room 2 rooms up from the enterence, right? I have done everything possible and I still can't pass. Is the bombable block supposed to turn into a switch, or is there somthing else I am missing?

There are three different versions of 98. I had the third version when I played through the train station, so it might be a bug, since I passed through perfectly. Try downloading the latest version from C-Dawg's briefcase, then see what happens. Don't worry about your save file, just overwrite your old quest file.

This is interesting- this bug has never been reported before, and tons of people have been through that area. Sans the game spontaniously rewriting itself or corrupting somehow, I dont know how this is possible. Ill look into it.

COme to think of it, there have been areas where the under combo becomes a wall tile, even though I know for a fact it's supposed to be something else. Maybe it's ZC, not sure.

I found that bug but only in beta 104, in 163 it SEEMS to be fixed. It used to ignore secret combos or under combos if there was a push->wait and no under combo set. It'd just set a corner wall tile even if a secret combo or nothing was set under it. But maybe it's still in 163.

C-dawg, since you and I are you-know-whats, maybe it's you-know-what that is causing the bug?

This game has to be played in 152 or it will have problems like that. I think that might be the problem.

C-Dawg did mention that this wouldn't work right in 163...

Well, that might be part of the problem, then!

doh!

I can't use 152 because it's too slow in my computer.

It has to be played on 152 or higher...I tried 143 and it wouldn't play it.

I thought I'd put this up here since it deals with the train station. Anyone who wants to can PM me the answer.

I don't know what to do at all, I've gotten into the station, found the relic stone, and now I'm stuck. I know that bombing the block in the room two rooms up allows you to open the doors by pushing a block, but I'm blocked off by a locked door and a bunch of pits.

Could someone PLEASE PM me a handheld tour through the blasted place? I really want to get the Hookshot(or whatever it is in this quest). If anyone wants to give PM me a tour through the Crypt as well, I'd be grateful. I managed to be the two Super Darknuts and their kin in the mines, but I had to use up a lot of potions.

I've got the cross and rescued the little girl to open the train station, and I did get the candle but I'm holding off battling the sand worms until I've got the Blue Armor. They totalled trashed me with two superbombs. :(

Wow...quite a bit of a bump. A friendly reminder, Sasshi: make sure you know this is a near 2 1/2 year old thread, and I'll let the mods lock this.

Indeed this is an old thread. Locked.

PS: Kingpin of LSPD, in the future you can leave the post part to us. I was going to mention this via PM, but you have PMs disabled.
