Dsl Modem!!!!

I got DSL this morning. It's very fast. I used to be on 28.8K. What a rush. :pirate: Arr!

i'm on 48K right now...I have a cable modem at my mom's house, but I'm not much of an internet guy, so dial up isn't much of a problem for me. Congrats on the DSL though.

Actually thanks to my DSL modem I DO waste more time than I ever had before. =D

Believe me, 28.8 is blazingly fast. You have no idea just how good it feels to be back on my 56K modem (connected at 50666 bps) after having spent the summer in Belarus and the Ukraine, where you consider yourself lucky if your computer in an internet cafe is going at a speed of 10kbps. I'm sure at times I had a connection more like 5 or 2 kbps...it took something like 2-3 minutes to download the small jpeg pictures that my mom sent out in her emails.
