What is the exact error. "my direct x is messed up!" doesn't help identify the problem. And let this be a lesson to you that you shouldn't let stupid people touch your computer unless under your strict watch.

I dont remember the error, I got it while starting war3 and now it only gets stuck at the loading screen! I will keep trying!

Not good. It's possible you may have to format your PC and reinstall. Changing errors aren't as easy to figure out.

See if you can contact microsoft's tech support via email for help. Somehow your sister currupted directx.

Goto this addy:

www.microsoft.com/technet

And type in the error...Sometimes it comes up with a registry fix that will fix the problem. (Such as something to remove directx so you can re-install it) :)

Do you have a file manager?
Try uninstalling Direct X and then do a reinstall.
If I remember right Galactic Battlegrounds had a thing where you could go into direct x and trouble shoot. I bet WC3 has it too.

Edit: open c/program files/direct x/setup.
This should give you direct x diagnostic tool.
Maybe in there you can get things back to normal.

The best way to test your DirectX is to go to
Start/Run/dxdiag

It brings up DirectX's diagnostic tools, you'll be able to find out what you need from there.

edit: I picked that up from everquest support. It's weird, I had no trouble playing Warcraft3 on my comp, but I couldn't get the original EQ to work.
