I dont expect to get a good responce from this, but I thought I'd ask.

I'm looking for a laptop (my school says I'll be shit outta luck if I dont have one before next semester classes start) and I dont want to pay much. I understand that 300-400 bucks will get me a five year old laptop, but frankly as long as it has 400 or more megahertz, at least 32 megs of RAM, and a the ability to install an ethernet card, thats all I need. Anyone selling one?

I'm looking for a laptop as well.

For $300-$400 bucks your best chance is to go look on Ebay (http://www.ebay.com) .

For $638 bucks you can get a new laptop with a 1.1Ghz Celeron at here (http://www.sybercom.com/cgi-bin/sybercom/NBA901-1.html?mv_pc=PriceWatch)

I've also seen cheap laptops at Computer shows. Click here (http://www.marketpro.com/) to find the next computer show in your area. I've seen laptops at computer shows around $200 to $300 bucks. You might have some luck there.

Strangely enough, I have a spare laptop that might suit your needs...

AMD K6-2, 450 MHz
64 MB RAM
11 GB Hard Drive
CD/DVD-ROM Drive
3-spindle machine (hard drive, CD drive, and floppy are all built in - greater convenience, but it's heavier)
13" display - 1024 x 768 maximum resolution
Touch pad mouse
Windows 2000 Professional
10/100 MHz PCMCIA Ethernet Card
Needs a battery replacement, but runs fine off AC power
It's about two years old

PM me if interested.
