DSL is finally here; I waited for 5 long years!!!!

** Jumps all over room…**

Does anyone still have antiquated, dead lines going to their house? If so get 10-20 channels of ISDN and do a network… … and send evil e-mails to the phone company and call them every day and scream.

For anyone who does not know about it,
It can go up to 1.54 MB, which is almost T1 (raises suspicion). Can work on a line and have another device running(phone,fax), which is due to it using a differnt freq(like there are different freqs for off hook and on hook).

DSL is a freakin link to the internet! It is o.k., but it isn't THAT fast!

Well DSL doesn't slow down at peak hours of the day, unlike Cable and also unlike Cable it doesn't get slower over time when more people on your street get Cable.

I've got DSL and its pretty damn awesome compared to dial up

Well, according to some sources, my town should be getting it by late 2002. But I don't know about that.

ive got cable and it does tend to slow a bit but some times it goes really fast

I have DSL. It's great. But no, it's nothing close to T1. You obviously don't know what a T1 is. o.O Maybe your DL speed matches T1s upload :p Anyways, I like my DSL. It's fast and fairly relieable. If it weren't I couldn't waste so much time on it.

It's in my hometown, but not in my area... even if it was, it is too expensive for me.

I love my dsl, its really hard when I go to my friends house and he gets 30 kps when im running over 100... but I try not to rub it in.
