Eternal Arcadia Legend (GC)

Skies of Arcadia was cancelled for PS2 in favour of a great, more featured and "beefed-up" GameCube version.

The new GameCube version is going to be called Eternal Arcadia Legend and is apparently so far looking much like the Dreamcast Skies of Arcadia, although there is a new character called Piastol. She pilots a pirate ship.

I think the game is sounding like it is shaping up to be a cool RPG for GameCube. What do you think?

I've been wanting to play this game. Looked pretty good from what I read and saw of the Dreamcast version. Even better if they're making a better version of it.

Yeah, I originally saw the ad for Skies of Arcadia in an EGM magazine. It was the Vyse the Legend ad, with all of the picture frames. I thought the game looked cool, and now I'll be able to play a better, new adventure version of it.

I have the europeon trial/demo disc for dreamcast here. However it runs at 50hz so I can't really play it. :shrug:

Played the DC version, beat it, showed my sister how to play, regreted it when she hogged the DC all day. And yes, Eternal Arcadia (Skies of Arcadia in the US) is VERY good, I like it better than the Final Fantasy games :) .

BTW, King Link, where did you find out about the new character?

Artevoi, I read the information on IGN.com, and I think that Piastol is shown in that image near the bottom that itschris posted.

If I ever get a GC, SoA will become the first game that I get for two systems :) . Piastol looks like she'll be a great addition to the party.
