Anyone here into Half Life. We just started playing over the LAN in school. I set it up at home also currently playing through game spy.

I was wondering if any one else here played?
Anyone play the TFC mod?

I used to, it consumer my life, it's all I played, one day my mind broke free and I threw the cd, plus blue shift and OP FOR in the trash.

lol me too. I beat the shit out of half life, then I was a counter strike junkie for a while. Now I'm finally free.:D Half Life still kicks ass, though.

I used to play HL all the time, until Valve released that damn 1.1.0.0 patch (40 freaking megs!!! A THREE HOUR download!!), screwed up the netcode, and made it so any new add-ons required it. I have never played HL since.

Didn't somebody already make fun of Tygore for that? Learn how to spell rogue, it's a five letter word. And yes, I loved Half-Life, although I didn't do much multiplayer except for a week of TFC.

There is a really cool mod, not to many people in it though (compared to CS and TFC) it's called The Opera, it's based more off of the Matrix and Chinese "Blood Operas" You can get money for the more stylish your kills are, say you kill someone in one shoot that would be like your basic 400 bux for a kill plus 600 bucks. Killling a person with a knife is like 2000 extra bucks, its neat. Oh DT that happened with me, you can just put in any number with the same number of digits I think that will work, or if you have Op For Installed just use that CD key. Those worked with me :D

There is a CD-KEY generator for the original retail version of Half-Life. Then you can upgrade to the current version, and it works just fine.

Also I'm thinking of trying to run a small HL server in a couple of weeks. It will only be for 8 or 12 users tops. I need a sugestion of how much memory I should put in it. It has 128 now but I am sure it will need more.
