multiple transparent pixels

is there a way to edit a cset so that there is more than one transparent color?? this would be useful for making physical changes in link when certain rings are found. example: i know texdex wanted to make the red ring an x-wing in his star wars quest. does anybody know?

As far as I know you can't.

There is definately no way to do it. So you can't have the rings change Link's shape.

Unless you do some really fancy tricks with the palette, which is really only a viable option in the classic tileset, because the others make use of too many colors for Link...

I know Alpro's unfinished quest used such an effect (after getting the blue mail, you could actually see Link wearing it). I don't know where to get the quest, though...it's old enough that it's probably not in the current QDB...
