what in the heck are "Boss Markers" and "More..."?

Just like it says, what are they?

Boss Markers aren't implemented yet. "More" is the image that displays on the screen when a string is Linked, and you need to press a button to continue.

But I have noticed sometimes that when I delay after a Linked String, (I.E. become lazy, hafta sneeze, etc.) A black box appears in the left part of the middle line. I know I can set it for an arrow, but then an arrow appears in the left part, OF THE MIDDLE LINE!!!
What's up with that!?!?!
