Half-Life, They Hunger, need help

I downloaded a mod, "They Hunger" 1,2, and 3, for Half-Life. I have a problem, though.
In the txt file it says I can't play TH on "Game of the Year" editions of Half-Life, but it also says you need a certain version, and if you don't, upgrade. So...

I have the "Game of the Year" edition, if I upgrade it to 1.0.0.x, can I play TH on it?

If so, where can I get this latest upgrade? Thanks.

(If it helps on info, I got the HL plainum pack.)
