Hi, Do any of you think WarCraft III will run even though I only have a Puny :confuse2: 3MB Vidoe Card {Intel 810 Chipset}

I have a PIII 700MHZ
128MB Ram:confused:
20 gig
 3MB Card!!

Any chance it would run with detail turned down??

Would it run with a Gefroce 2 PCI card??? {I don't have any APG slots:mad:

You need at least a 16 Mb vid card. Sorry. A GeForce 2 PCI card should cut it.

Anything else I might need besides a Geforce 2 PCI??
Just how hard is it to install one??? do you just pop it in the PCI slot, or is there more to it??? won't Windows detect it automatically??

I read that PCI cards weren't very good, would it be worth it to install it??

I have been to the Blizzard site, and the intel 810 Chipset is listed, but since mine is only 3 megs I don't think it will work.
I am not even sure if the 810 chipsets ae avaliable in more then 3 MB are they???

If you want to get another video card, do it. When you do there should be instructions that tell you how to install the card and disable any intergrated video memory that is on the motherboard so it will not interfere with the new one.

Installing a new video card is pretty easy, and you can get one that will suit your needs for around 30 bucks.

On a 3meg card? No way! I'd suggest getting at least a 32 meg card.

There are two types of video cards, PCI and AGP. AGP stands for Advanced Graphics Port, which was specifically designed to work with video cards better. But, not all motherboards have AGP slots. Some only have PCI (like mine). In performance however, both will get the job done. I say get a card you can afford, and if you are able to install and afford and AGP one, get one.

Get a 32mb Geforce 2 MX 200 PCI card. Warcraft 3 will run great.

Installing a PCI Geforce 2 card is VERY easy. They give you instructions too in the box.

Yes. It is quite possibly the greatest game ever made for the PC. I will hunt down and kill anybody who says differently, I'm so not joking.

The game is easily worth $100. I would pay 100 anyway, it is just such a damn good game.
