Are Gamecubes supposed to beep when they boot up a disc? I just heard mine beep when I had my GC up close....EK said it was suposed to beep, but my sis spilled a little bit of water on it and after that, I started noticing the beep....

It beeps upon boot up.

A neat thing you can do on boot up, hold down Z on one controller and you'll hear kids laughing instead of the normal sound.
If you have 4 controllers plugged in and hold down Z on all of them, you'll hear a "YaooooooH!!" supposedly, (like in Tenchi when they do that for Tenchi Universe's episode title).

Yeah, I heard that the first time I ever booted up my GCN. I like it. I reboot my GCN sometimes constantly for hours on end just to hear that beep. BEEP! Man that beep rocks the house! j/k

It's a common phrase, its not just from Tenchi, I was using that as an example of the sound.
