New Revelations From Famitsu
Racing game sequel and updated Final Fantasy 1 & 2?
July 12, 2002 - This week's Famitsu was full of big revelations as the magazine hosted a big feature on upcoming RPGs along with the first news and screens for Square's upcoming Unlimited Saga. But the fun doesn't end there! A look at the back of the issue reveals that next week will see an announcement of some form related to Final Fantasy 1&2 and a scoop of some form on a popular driving series.
We don't know specifics, of course, but we'd guess (and pray) that the Final Fantasy news has something to do with the Game Boy Advance. As for that racing game, any number of possible titles comes to mind, from an all new Sega Rally to something on Yu Suzuki's updated Xbox-based Outrun. (We'd also take a GBA version of Power Drift -- which we caught in a seedy arcade last week and noticed Yu's name hidden in the high scores -- but that would hardly be the big news that Famitsu would tease us over.)
Check back late next week for the full word.
