Good PS2 games?

Has anyone besides me noticed that there has been a serious shortage of good PS2 games lately? I have tried most of the major new releases for the last year now and only have a handfull of quality games. They are:

GTA3 (one of the best I ever played)
FFX
Gauntlet
Jak + Daxter
Tony Hawk 3

There are a ton of decent games but not many worth the fifty dollar price tag that comes with them.

Let's face it though... There's a shortage of good games period.

GTA3, MGS2, and Max Payne.......only ones I like......

I can't believe I forgot MGS2. That game should deffinetly be on that list, as for drakkan I'm in the middle of it so I can't say.

Max Payne hell of better on PC. Also Tekken Tag Tournament is a fairly good game.

And DC is right. There is a plain shortage of good games.

I think that's true on all systems right now...

Sadly, I don't have a PS2, but I plan too eventually, mainly for Suikoden 3.

I thought Virtua Fighter was an ok game in general, but as far as fighting games go it kicked ass (altough not as good as tekken 3)
