Some people should know this picture from my signiture...
http://castlevania.vhosts.ca/dracula/symphdracan1.gif

I'd hate to sound like someone who... can't do things on his own, but I've been trying to cut 10 pixels off of this picture for an avatar. Everytime I do it, all the frames are clutered into one picture. So, anyone with more experience with animated GIFs, can you help me out here?

You'd have to open it in an animated .gif editor and cut 10 pixels off each frame individually. I'm not sure if there is a program that will shortcut that for you or not.

That animation program that comes with PSP should work. I'd do it but Masa alerady said that he would.

My GIF animater sucks. It's called 16 Color (yeah, 16 colors each frame) and it keeps each frame the same size.

mmmh.. that image is also 4 times bigger than the max. for an avatar... (max is 20Kb).. whoever than cuts it will have to do it smaller too

That can easilly be done by removing the redundant pixels between the images. I'm sure masa knows how to do that.

If need be, he could also cut some of the "pause" frames out. (from the time he forms to the time he shoots the firebals there is a "pause" in animation) To save space, just cut the "pause" frames from it making it more fluid and 1 motion ;)

There is also a "pause" after he shoots the fireballs to the time he evaporates again.

sorry it took so long dracula. but i had to shorten each frame individually. >_< i got about half way done last night when my animating software started acting up. crashing, illegal operations, etc. maybe i'll be done maybe later today when it starts working again.

I tried, and I can't get the image down to 20k unless I seriously reduce the quality. If you didn't want the teleporting frames, then it might be an option.

Now I rember, you have to Isolate each frame into its own sprite instead of its own picture.

I'v been fooling with this too and have the same problem.
Unless you get rid of more frames you must sacrifice quality to be under 20k.

Here are the results.

Too big.

http://www1.evertek.net/~gchalland/symphdracan1-d.gif
Poor quality.

No transporting in, just appears.

Don't know if this helps, but I had fun messing with it and learned a few more things about PSP.
:)
Edit:
Dam...they still may be too big, they are right at 20k a bit over.
Try it and see.

i can't get it! my software keeps messing up each individual frame!

What about not having him disapear? Too many frames take that up, so just have him flap his cape and shoot fire out of his crotch? Jemsee's are ok. That last one would be fine without the blank frames. That should work.
