Tomorrow I go in for a junior black belt grading in Goju Karate. I've been training since I was 5 (I'm 16 now), and this is going to be one of the most challenging days of my life. For five hours they will test me and my three fellow candidates to and beyond our physical limitations.

I thank you for your good wishes (assuming you have any), and wish you all goodnight.

PS. My hip is miraculously feeling better now. Hopefully, that will last.

Well, I think I passed. The first two hours or so were occupied a written exam, and yes, it was long enough to take up the full two hours. The main part of the grading was difficult, but at the same time, surprisingly easy. It was long, sure, but we got water breaks. And after all the horror stories we'd been told about black belt and/or junior black belt gradings, this one seemed pretty weak - but one black belt told me he was jealous because his grading had been so much easier. *Shrug* Maybe they were just trying to scare us...

Anyway, I would gladly do it again. And I will, when I go for my full black belt. ;D
