View Full Version : if i get a cable modem?

My family is thinkng about getting a cable modem as opposed to our current aol server. If we do get one i will have to change my screen name. I was just wondering if it is possible to redeem my account after doing this? :confused:

You mean you'd have to change your name here? Um, no... you can keep the same one.

But wait i dont see a login button. were would i go to type in my password and login name.

I hate to ask so many questions but i really want to make sure i can still do this. :heart:

It appears at the bottom of the main page if you are a guest.

In other words, if you're not already logged in. (No sense having a login box if you're already logged in.) There's a logout link at the bottom of the main page if you want to see. :kawaii:

Also, if you click the User CP button, it will bring you into a log in screen. It also does that if you try to reply to something.

Yup. Once you get the new modem, all you have to do is type in boards.armageddongames.com and then type in your username and your password in the login boxes.

Simple. Nothing needs to be changed or anything.

switching to a cable modem makes absolutely no difference in your membership here or anywhere else. in fact, as long as you're cookied, if you don't log in now you shouldn't have to log in when you're connected via cable. unless you're upgrading browsers i don't see why switching your access method would matter.

If you aren't a AOL member anymore however you will lose your email address so you might want to change your account to another address you won't lose. I suggest netscape.net's mail service as you are automatically reserved your aol [email protected]

Anyways, you might wanna get a mail account there if you do lose your [email protected]
