i should be pretty familiar with the name vegeta, especially since every computer game i play, half the people are named "vegeta" or "goku" or whatever.

Vegeta = Velveeta? I don't quite make that connection myself... I think of Vegetable. Which what I believe Vegeta was named after... alot of the characters seem to be named after food items.

Vegeta is a pun for vegitable. The ginyu force are dairy products berter = butter, Gurudo = yogurt (japanese trancelation), Jiece = cheese, Ginyu = milk (dairy, dairy force), Recoome = Cream.

Yep, in fact, all the pure-breed Saiyans in DBZ have vegtable names.

Kakarot (Goku) = carrot
Raditz = radish
Nappa = cabbage
Brolly = brocolli?
Vegeta = vegetable

You'll also notice their hair looks like their respective vegetable. Being so, It's fitting that some people abrieviate my name by saying, "hey veggie...". I still don't know what Akira Toriyama was smoking when he came up with the DB names though...
