Remember how the labels wanted to put out their own services? Uh-huh... (http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/usatoday/20020625/tc_usatoday/4219714)

Also, Napster won a $5 million loan; http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/ap/20020625/ap_wo_en_po/us_napster_loan_1 (http://rd.yahoo.com/alerts/email/news/*$5.1 million, to be exact.

Honestly, I don't see why people would go back to using another Napster. All it was was Mp3s. P2P programs have everything from images, to software, to Mp3s, to documents, to whatever nowadays. Unless Napster plans on a serious overhaul, people will stick with their Kazaa, Morpheus, iMesh, and all other multi-file programs.

They will fail. We will all laugh at them. What file sharing is just mass private trades with people you don't know. :p There is nothing wrong with that.

Napster was a transitional thing; CDs -> Napster -> Limewire -> KaZaA (Get KaZaA Lite: No spyware). No sense going backwards.

I can't imagine using Napster now that I have gnutella. It's pretty inferior if you ask me.

Wonderful.

Now that they failed, they are going to kill the filesharing programs, just you wait...
