I've heard about it, sounds bad. The fire here is several times larger than my city too.

It's a shame when forests are destroyed by fire, they are so nice prior to the blazes.

It's Arizona. It's a desert. What did you expect?

That's one reason why I like living in the north. Very few fires of that magnitute. I did hear that 1 of them was started deliberately.

Once again this is a case of humans battling nature. I feel sorry for them but it's not a bad thing. Nature has natural fires for rebirth and regrowth. You think nature cares if your house is in the way? They can battle it all they want but nature finds a way.

Humans will inevitably lose to nature.
However, I hate to think what all that burning is putting into the atmosphere.:eyebrow:

I'm pretty close to the fire. I'm about 200 miles away from the Hayman fire. (I don't excatly know how far away Denver is from where I live. About 4 hours.) I hate the idea of all those parks and trees being destroyed. I don't like it one bit. :(

TSA, you're another fine example of poor human judgement. Arizona is by far not completely desert. There are quite a few large forsests, and only part of it is desert. Perhaps you should visit?
