OK, I played and played and played SSBM trying to unlock everything. After many, many, many attempts, I beat event #36, where you fight Samus, Kirby, Fox, Captain Falcon, and Falco as Ness. I figured nothing could be as tough as that scenario. It unlocked event #51, and found out I was wrong. Giga Bowser, Mewtwo, and Ganondorf on a team against me and three lives for all in the Final Destination stage looked easy at first. I had never fought Giga Bowser. I got raped. For those who have never fought Giga Bowser, he is a Bowser with a different player model. He is the size of at least a 2 shroom Bowser, and his Up+B move can freeze you as well as damage you. That SOB is tough. I played and played and got raped time and time again, and came up with a strategy to defeat the scenario with almost no effort. This may have been discovered before, but this is the first time I've ever come up with a strategy with no walkthrough or anything. Here's what I did:

I was getting raped with every characters. Ganondorf and Roy, my KO specialists, couldn't even touch Giga Bowser, and he caused so many problems it was unthinkable to ignore him and leave him for last. I racked my brain for someone with a quick KO move, and came up with two ideas. Luigi, with his super jump punch, and Jigglypuff, with his Down+B move. Luigi got raped, he couldn't get close enough for his punch to work. Jigglypuff was just the tough bastard for this job.

As soon as the match started, I did 3-4 hops to position Jiggly over Giga Bowser. Now, for Down+B to work, you have to be basically standing on the shoulders of your enemy, so as Jiggly floated to the ground, I went straight for GB, and as soon as he was close enough I did Down+B. It KOed GB in one hit! I got killed that round, but soon I was able to KO GB 3 times. It is OK if you lose one of your three lives, almost impossible to go without losing one, because after the move you fall asleep and land and Mewtwo and Ganondorf rape you.

Anyway, after GB was history, I had to fight Ganondorf and Mewtwo. This was a problem, as my hand-to-hand skills with Jiggly suck. Then, I hatched an evil plan. I would stand on the edge of the stage, wait until Mewtwo and Ganondorf stood close, and then hop off the edge, do at least three jumps in the air, and flew to the other side of the stage. (Remember, Jiggly can fly. Ganondorf will jump and do his Up+B move if you are too low, so do at least 3 jumps.) After a while, items started appearing. If you are good enough in combat, you can get a beam sword and win right there. However, I wasn't good enough, so I just kept picking up, throwing, flying, picking up, throwing until the items disappeared. From time to time, Bob-ombs and proximity mines would appear, and they were what usually KOed my enemies. If I saw a Poke Ball, I would do my best to get it, but for some reason they only seem to appear in the center of the stage, and my goal was to keep Mewtwo and Ganondorf near the center so I'd have time to grab items and fly away.

I got killed the first few times, mainly because I wouldn't jump high enough, or Ganondorf would keep finding Poke Balls, but my fourth try I beat the event with one life left at 10% damage! It took 7 minutes, but it's so easy, it's almost a cheat!!

Anyone else do this? If not, how on Earth did you beat event 51?

When I first reached Event match 51 myself, I wasn't too good either. So I had to use Jigglypuff, whom I have since gotten re-acquinted with (As in, I used her a lot in SSB, and now I use her a lot again, not like that...) Except without the edge-guarding part. I just used Rollout (That move is insane, by the way, so learn how to use it. If it works, you'll like the results. :mega: ) on Gannondorf and Mewtwo until I got a chance to stun them with something or they let their guard down with Warlock Punch or something, then I just Rested them to death.

It didn't take long before I could win with other characters, though. I don't mean with edge guarding, to this day I still can't do that totally right. I have beat it with... uh, Roy, Marth, JigglyPuff, I would have done it with Pichu once except for a Bob-omb appearing 2 inches from my face right when I was about to finish off the last player, Link, Gannondorf, Mario, Dr. Mario, Luigi, Bowser, Zelda (but not Sheik), Samus, and... Uh, that's all I can remember right now.

Try using Gannondorf against them when you're ready. Learn the range on his smash moves, and when to use the sidestep and rolling dodge maneuvers. It'll take a while, but it's not TOO hard that way.

i just used Marth and went head to head... no real strategy, just an allout assault on whoever came in front of my sword...
(edit: this is how i play, either hit and run, or chase them down and kick some ass)

it took me a couple tries, just make use of the Down + B move when all the are around you, and the Up + B move when you are sent flying...

a helpfull way to get back from farther distances, use the Forward + B move... trust me... it works...

also, if you can gage the B slash, hitting any of the 3 with it at full power, BAMM!! they are sent flying, if not then a little distance...

try this strategy with Roy as well, his Flame Slash (B) it at full strength, or almost near full, is pretty awesome...

Using Link, I just downstab, downstab, downstab. I take out Giga Bowser with several downstabs and try to eliminate him first. Then Mewtwo is usually next, and a last duel with Ganondorf.

I found that when I get pushed into the corner of the arena, I can grab onto the ledge and hang, then fall off then use a spin attack to grab back onto the ledge, hitting the group of opponents while coming back up. Repeating the process to get some ground to get back up.

Ganondorf took me a while to fight. Every time I would downstab he'd use the UP+B move to grab me, so I had to use moves like a small jump forward slash (tap X then forward+A). Whenever I fight I use the boomerange a lot to hit my opponents to keep them back and get damage in.

I've faced Giga Bowser before and he's not REAL hard but when you have Ganon and Mewtwo on his side. Good luck. I'm still trying to pass #50, I don't really try cause it gets boring quickly.

I just used Falco... Falco rocks more than anything you can imagine. You can just basically Down+B, Forward+B, and Up+B them to death... Mewtwo has a stupid habit of flinging Shadow Balls, which, when reflected, are almost always are going to hit Giga Bowser. And once you defeat Giga Bowser, the other 2 are simple...

I wonder if anyone has managed to make it so Giga Bowser was the last one to get KOed..?

Falco handles way too much like Sheik for me to enjoy using him... I like Fox better.
Edit: another interesting habit of Mewtwo's is to walk off edges and make no attempt to return. I'm serious.

I find that really funny, that's actualy how I got him, I hung on the edge got back off, and then Mewtwo floated right off. I'm gonna go try to beat it now.

I used Jigglypuff, and Rested until Giga Bowser was KOed. (I also accidentally KOed Mewtwo and Ganon once each) I had 190% damage but still hadn't died. Mewtwo quickly fixed that.
Stats:

JPx2|MTx2|GDx2|GBx0

I found that by floating over the field making them follow me until a long-range weapon appeared was the best way to win. So I KOed, and Ganon KOed(stupid Falcon Jump ripoff!), until it looked like this:

JPx1|MTx0|GDx1|GBx0
75% | X% |80% | X%
Then I kept running away from Ganon again until I finally got me a Beam Sword! Charged my Smash attack and BAM!

Complete!

I used Yoshi. :D
His jump+pound is quite effective on GB, and the others are easier once GB is dead, with the help of items and Yoshi's jump.
