"To get access to Insider for free for the next seven days, simply create yourself an IGN user account and sign up for one of three subscription plans (Monthly, Quarterly, or Annual) with a valid credit card. Your credit card will be authorized at time of trial activation, but will not be charged unless you decide to keep your subscription. If you keep your subscription, your credit card will be charged at the beginning of the eighth day of service."

Kinda like AOL's service, your charged after the free trial. Its a promotion to get people to subscribe.

If I had a broadband connection then I'd be more inclined to want to subscribe to IGN or Gamespot, but I really wouldn't be able to get much out of subscriptions without the connection to get the media they are offering. I also plan on subscribing to Nintendo Power again and Electronic Gaming Monthly so that's about $45 right there. The internet is nice for news and screen shots but there's still nothing like a physical magazine with all the info right there every month for you to flip through.

I was so happy until it said that i have to give a valid credit card account number. I was like, "screw you!" and I closed IGN.

I know both Warlock and Myself have access to accounts, and we do a decent job of delivering all the important stuff that yall miss. If neither of us have posted it, than you haven't missed a thing. It's not all it's cracked up to be.

The only thing I would want IGN insider for is to read those Hyrule Chronicle things. Otherwise, IGN can suck it!

They aren't that interesting actually. Most of them are just reviews of the games -- nothing you can't find anywhere else. The others all pertain to the debate surrounding cel-shading. They also included several letters by a bunch of angry fanboys crying because they either a: "ruined zelda" or b: "their mom won't buy them a zelda game". They also include really shitty artwork by those same 8-yr-old fanboys. However, if you still really want to read them, I can get them up somewhere for you.

Cool! Yeah, if you do, I'd still be interested in what they have to say.

...if nothing else, for a good laugh, eh?

The point of the whole deal is if you forget to cancel, you automatically get signed up! That probably has happened to more than one person, making the free trial worthwile to them.

Yeah, there really isn't a hell of a lot there that is worth paying for (except during e3 time of course).

That my friend was not me, it was Rijuhn. And I don't think anyone noticed! lol

Okay, His av may have my name there, but it is not me ;)
