I've heard both are very good, but I'm considering which one to get. Has anybody played much of either of these?

Ah, yes.

MORROWIND, definitly, although you WILL want to consider the following.

Morrowind freezes up almost constantly outside, such as in cities and towns, the frame rates drops to something like 15 fps, but then speeds up indoors to something near 60.

That's my only beef, I suggest Morrowind, it's fun and it also has its own Construction Set. Plus, I bet they will soon come out with a patch which will prevent the freezing and bad framerate.

Apparently the choppiness is due to a safedisk program in the game, which prevents certain copying etc.

If you have something other than a Compaq computer, get Morrowind...

Morrowind, like stated above there is a problem with frame rate thanks to that evil safedisk, but it can be taken care of with a no-cd patch.
Morrowind also has a contruction set, you can make your own, and play downloaded ones off the net, I've had a chance to explore this system and its massive, if you intend to make your own unique world you'll be busy for months.

Duran, what do you ean a no-cd patch? I'm sick of the safedisk choppiness, is there some way I can stop it?

Well I'm sure I cant tell ya how, but its more or less a crack that doesn't require the game to read the cd to play, you'll be sacrificeing movies and speech if you do though.

Could you PM me and explain Duran? Thanks.

Actually, I was thinking of the X-Box version of Morrowind.

Oh, sorry Orion. Well, if you choose Morrowind then, you can't go wrong since it doesn't have the same safedisk thing.

BTW, for those of you with Morrowind PC, the new patch has been released.

Patch? Good...

I'd get it for XBOX if I had one.

Okay, I got both instead. Both are fairly decent games. Morrowing is a bit tedious, but very well rounded. Lost Kingdoms is alright, but nothin real special. If you want an RPG for the GameCube, go ahead and get it. It's fun enough.

I havent played either but Morrowmind i would get Morrowmind especially if I had a high-end Computer. The Quest Builder and high resolution kicks the Xbox versions ass.

I would have just rented if I were you. Did you get Morrowind for the XBOX?

Ign doesn't always know what they are talking about, Anthony. :).

And yes, I got Morrowind for the XBOX. I am quite impressed with it, and haven't had any problems thus far.
