Hi everyone,

Is it possible to have animated characters (Link, a Moblin or something like that) which are larger than 1 tile. I've found a source with lots of cool looking sprites, but they're all at least 20 pixels tall. Is there a way to make this work? I'm using version 1.9

You can for enemies but not for link or items

Hmm, I didn't think you could at all. Guess I haven't been keeping up with the betas enough.

No because items, Link, and someother stuff can only have 1 tile to make them. But if you make the fire guy all black with the "X"s and use the "Guy has no fire" rule you can make a shopkeeper be 2 tiles big or wide or mke you talk. This is used a lot in diolouge.

Good point. This could be very useful. Check out Vel's quest page. He has a quest that features massive enemies, like Zols, wall masters, a giant red wizrobe. The world of ZC is full of possibilities.

You can pretty much make anything that your imagination can hold. Almost anything. :D

Could someone please give me a more detailed description of how to achieve big characters? And where can I find Vel's quest page?

They are mock-ups I made them before ZC was even out. They are just things I'd like to do once an enemy editor is made. I have a link to my page in my sig.

How about enemies? As I said, the sprites I've found are taller, not wider (in most cases). Remember I'm using version 1.90. I'm still figuring out some of the basics, so I don't want to try any betas yet.

DN might include something in the Enemy Editor specifying how big the sprite is. That might be very difficult to code though.

Do you want to make big enemies? You're going to have to wait for the enemy editor.

But you'd also have to know how to use layers and place normal enemies where the weak point is...
