Converting Media files help needed

Im sorry for putting this in GD but I didint know where to put it! Can sombody give me a link to a good program that can convert media files (such as audio and video ito other formats)! I downloaded the spiderman movie but its in .avi format and none of my media players support that! (even Kazaa!) I just would like a link to download a EASY TO USE program that could convert to any format real fast! thanks :D :highfive:

windows media player should play .avi files. the problem may not be the file type, but the fact that the file is corrupted or another format with the wrong extension.

I already tried Windows Media Player and it the one that told me that is doesnt support .avi files.. ill check out ur website though..thanks

Try Quicktime. Some AVIs I have can only be played in Quicktime, but it's most likely because it was mislabeled or something.

Why dont you just try to d/l the codecs for WMP??

That happened to me and i just updated my player and now it works!!:D:D
