Pokémon Stadium 1 & 2 kick ass. You should see a CHARIZARD's Flamethrower in FREE BATTLE and see for yourself. Plus, the 251 Pokémon have different moves (some they can't learn in Red, Blue, example: Charizard using FLY; Yellow) and other Pokémon using attacks with advanced technology. For example, I use CHARMELEON (Silver) with FLAMETHROWER and you use LUGIA (Gold) and use HYDRO PUMP. See? It looks a lot more cooler than its Game Boy Color counterpart. Not to mention the "Super Effective" message. (Blue & Red users only, read here) DO NOT EVEN DARE SENDING 'M (Red) or MISSINGNO (Blue). TO POKÉMON STADIUM. In addition, you may get either a baby RHYDON or other Pokémon.

Whoa its you, an old member.

Pokemon Stadium came too late for me. I had bought Pokemon Red right when it came out and played through the game in a month. Pokemon Stadium didn't come out until about a year and a half later, after I had already played Pokemon. I bought it when it came out and played it some but didn't get far because I needed to play through Pokemon all over again.

The idea that you could battle with your Pokemon on your N64 in 3-D instead of the simple GB battles was interesting. Just take your GB Pokemon game and put it in the transfer pak, you could even play Pokemon Super Game Boy style on your TV.
The battles in Pokemon Stadium however seemed primitive and just a 3-D recreation of the GB battles. You only see on Pokemon on the screen during an attack at once, and you only see them both when choosing your commands. It just isn't that exciting compared to Final Fantasy VII's battles. The announcer is a bit annoying too with his commentary and sound compression, but it does add to the game.

And yes, if you bought Pokemon Stadium and did not own one of the GB Pokemon games, you were wasting your money.

What Nintendo needs to do now is make a full GCN Pokemon adventure/rpg game instead of just a battler (which I'm very sure they're going to do, the GCN-GBA game link is made for it).

It's cute how they patched the Missingno. glitch.

For me, Pokemon Stadium was awesome the few times I got to play on it. Now that I think about it, though, it should have been better. The Pokemon just stand in one position all the time, never do any real fighting. Maybe the GC PS (I'm sure there will be one) will have more details.

I never tried it myself, but as said in the topic, if you send Missingno. to Stadium it replaces it. I've heard it replaces it with a doll that can't do anything.

Hey, it's 5Q5! :D

I had fun when I rented Pokemon stadium. Over the 3 days I had it I beat the Elite 4 and Gary like 7 times and got extras of all the hard to get and starter Pokemon. It was fun, and challenging, esp since my Pokemon team was at Level 100 (I played Pokemone Red for a long time!) and so were theirs.

There's also Stadium 2. I have it and have played through all of the first round. True, Missingno does get replaced by a Pokedoll, but there's another glitch in Stadium 2. If you load in an old chromatic version(red, blue, yellow) into the pak, then head to check your pokebox, you'll sometimes find an extra box that was meant for the metallic versions(gold and silver). In it you'll find glitched pokemon. The useful part of Stadium 2 is the Academy, which lists all of the pokemons' moves and evolutions for each version. There's also a move restorer that can restore previously deleted moves as a reward for beating the Elite Four. I just wish I could find an actual human to battle against. A computer opponent's level 100 Mewtwo in the Rival Battle fell to 2 hits from my lv. 93 Espeon...

How do you get the move restorer? I tried a thousand times to beat the Elite Four and unlock it but it never works. Maybe the Pokemon needs an empty space for it to work

Stadium was okay, Stadium2 was awesome because of all the extra stuff you could do with it. I do agree that they came too late, and that they should make a 3D RPG pokemon game like the GB version. Does anyone remember the Pokemon GCN test they showed at I think SpaceWorld 2000? Maybe they have something planned for that.

The demo with Meowth I think was something they showed on the tv show or something...There was a trophy for it in SSBM with Meowth and his guitar. Just like SSBM, that demo used the Pokemon models from Pokemon Stadium.

There is both a GBA and GCN Pokemon game in the works that will connect.

The Gamecube one I've heard of that is based on the Meowth demo is called Pichu Bros. Party Panic as far as I know. Not sure what will be in it, though. The one for GBA adds 100 new monsters, and two different trainers to play as. The move restorer only kicks in if you beat the Elite Four and Lance using a unregistered team with the trained pokemon you want to have relearn a move that is learned through level. Basically, don't register your team and only use trained pokemon for best results.

I use to like pokemon but not anymore. I do think they are gay but I don't think the people who play them are gay. (Except those who are addicted to it, this stupid fag at my school loves the show and all the games, he is such a bitch)

Yes i have played this game before. I would like a version of PKMN in 3d...something like quest 64 or aidyn cronicles. and when you walk in the grass you get an outline of of the pkmn in the grass so you know if you want it or not. Well anyway pkmn stadium is somewhat boring.

I enjoyed the game to an extent, but after a while, found other games I enjoyed more. That just happens though.

I still find it to be an interesting game.
