quick quick quickytime!

i recently aquired some unreleased invader zim episodes that are saved in .avi files. it says the plugin required to paly these are not found on the quicktime server. do i need to play the file with something else besides quicktime?

try all media players you have masa. If that don't work, you need to update your quick time.

i did update my quicktime and my MS media player doesn't recognize it.

I think Windows Media Player plays .avi files.

EDIT: Oops, it's actually RealPlayer (http://www.real.com/realone/?src=realplayer) that plays them.

Windows Media Player does play avi files....

Try downloading the Divx bundle at www.divx.com. It should have the codecs you need. Windows Media Player should play them now.

Ah, okay. I remember I had to download the divx codecs to play .avi files in Windows Media Player. I don't have that divx bundle anymore, though. RealPlayer should play them, too.
