I recently downloaded the ICQ instant messenger, but I don't want it to start up every time I turn on my computer. I tried to disable it through run\msconfig\startup, but I didn't find it listed there. There was also no option within ICQ for me to turn it off. Does anyone know how I can do this?

I don't use the program, but it is not in the start-up folder is it?

go to the "main" button on the bottom left and select "preferences". when the preferences menu pops up, click "connections" on the left menu and on the settings on the "general" tab (on top of the main menu screen). make sure the box that says "launch icq on startup" is cleared.
