A long time ago I used to use Microsoft Gif Animator. I really liked it cause it was simple. I just made the frames with PSP and then put them together with their animator.

But, since PSP started coming with an animator, I've been using that. It's pretty nice, and has a lot of features.

PSP and the animator that comes with it are a really nice combo, and I think you can get the software for less than $100.

There was one called microsoft gif animator that was pretty good. I used that. I think there is also a program called 20/20 or something that you should get as it might do it.

Where can you get these? Can you download them or do you have to buy them?

obi, how do you get the transparency to work on these programs? Looking to the left, I note yours is transparent on the outside of the image.

PSP doesnt do transparencies, obviously. Not the way I want to; otherwise, I'd have a ton of avatars by now. :blah:

ah, the actuall thing is only made transparent in the animation prcess, Ulead has this hidden in a menu which I found, i basically makes one colour of choice transparent, the colour was PURE black, kirby's outline has a bit more colour in it.

If you want, your one can be made trans parent in a few mins.

EDIT - oh yeah, it should work anyway if you import gif's with selected transparencies I think, otherwise, pake em all Birght pink! :D

Cyclone: You have to make the area you want to be transparent a solid color, and in PSP (version 6, at least), there is an option in the colors menu called "Set palette transparency", and you pick that solid color as the transparency color. Make sure you pick a color to fill it in that is not used elsewhere in the picture.
