Interesting poll

I was looking at gamefaqs, and saw their poll. Which of the next gen games systems do you plan to own by the end of the year. There at this time were almost 8,000 votes. I bit short, but here it is.

I think that helps to show, PS2 was very successful. And GC probably will do well. However XBox has work to do! :p

Yeah, I tried voting with none of the boxes checked but it wouldn't let me. There should be a "none" option. And maybe a "none and I'm not gatting any" option for me. I'll just wait for the games to come out on PC.

ok... Well, I can admit, it's kinda kiddy now (except for RE, just like you said) but kiddy games can be fun?!?! :tongue: But wait for Metroid Prime, RE 0, Castlevania, and other games that will make you change your pants and mop the floor!

I have gamecube... It's hardly "kiddie" unless you buy the kiddy games. There are plenty of good games, though I want more.

Bah, the only kiddy games I've owned is Seasame Street ABCs with Ernie's Rubber Ducky game. Perhaps Yoshi's Story too, since that was obviously intended for kids (I hope).

The "kiddy" games that people would call kiddy are the same kind of games from back in the NES and SNES days. People need to grow up, or rather, not grow up. I guess the gaming community today is too mass market or feel they're too old. Just an argument against the "kiddy games" thing in general not anyone in particular.


I own a Gamecube along with Super Smash Bros. Melee, Rogue Leader, Pikmin, Wave Race, and Super Monkey Ball. I'm interested in adding Pikmin, Sonic Adventure 2: Battle, and Resident Evil to my collection.

Nah, this board is just full of people who are either Nintendo Fanboys or just inclined towards Nintendo systems, so the first next gen system they'll own is a GC. We also have a number of vehemently anti-X-box members, so they're probably going to make some statement by refusing to even play an X-box or buy one.

I have a PS2 and my little brother has a Gamecube. I'm thinkin about going out and gettin a cheapy Dreamcast to play a couple of those games, since it and the games are worth practically nothing nowadays ;)

I hate MS, but I'll play an X-box.
I won't buy one unless I like more games on it than the two that interest me now.

I got a GameCube first simply because I didn't have a PS2 yet(still don't :( ) and I had to make a choice of what to get, I chose it for the games(Rogue Leader was the one that actually changed my mind).

I actually was going to get a PS2 when I was getting my GC. However, with the 100$s more required for just the system, I went with GC. I still plan to get a PS2 though.

lucky bastards. i dont have anything better than the n64 since im broke. i cant even get a ps1 because im so broke! ARGH! oh i feel like smooooooshing something! :gavel: :gavel: :gavel: ok i feel better. anyways, ill be getting a decent cash flow soon so ill be getting a ps1 and a gba to hold me off till i can get a ps2/GC. :kawaii:
