NOTE: for 1.52 only

woohoo!
this thing has given me so many anuerisms, i had to stop adding stuff or i would never release this demo. anyway. there are no enemies, no items. there is the intro movie, the first small woodlan area, and the first town. (NOTE: there are two caves in the town that dont go anywhere...do not go in them, i forgot to close them for now) only one of the houses is open at the moment expect atleast all of the houses with signs to be open later on.

and if you have complaints about my miniscreen dont worry i hate it too, its just there for now.

basically this will give you a huge feel for the game, how it will look and how the ploit will start off. plus you can see the various technical things ive been working on. enjoy.

MountainDrew, try going behind the trees. They all use layers. Also, those little dips in the cliffs with rocks next to them in the waterfall are walkable.

I like this quest, it's very unique (look at that statue of a coke bottle!). It's still full of bugs, though. There are a lot of tiles you can walk on that you shouldn't be able to.

I don't mean layer bugs, I mean I walked over the kids fishing

ya, little stuff like that is good to know.
unfortunately i really wanted to get ths out today so there will prob. be stuff like that. ofcourse ill fix it.

annnnnnnnny comments on the intro that sucked atleast 20% of my soul out of me???

Right after i posted that i noticed the difference between some of the mountain tiles and the path down the waterfall.
I like the pop/coke statue

The intro was really nice. I liked how you made it look like it was animated by holding right and (I'm assuming) going through consecutive stair warps that send you to the next screen. It's kind of like a slide show. :)

Looking awesome!
I only found a few bugs. most are simply problems with layers, like walking under stuff that you aren't supposed to.
But one is somewhat serious. Once you enter the town, you are stuck in the town.

And I have a question... What is this:

It sorta looks like a giant coke bottle, but I can't for the life of me figure out why that would be there.

WORD! thanks for the pic of the full statue, im way to lazy to do that myself. ya untill they can get it so pit warps (or any warp) will activate automatically when you warp on one you have to walk on to them - it still looks sweet tho, thanks for the compliments. ya, tried to close off the demo so you cant venture much of anywhere....i guess i did the job too well. :D

the next things on my to-do list:
fill in the town, each house is a basic explaination of the game, like why coke is so important, why rupies are frogs - and how money works, and explanation of the first mission of the game (which will lead to the first dungeon)

my quest, while still being serious will constantly remind you that games are fun, and shouldnt be taken tooo seriously...;) (hence the coke)

did anyone walk up to the fountain?
did anyone go into the house, and see the 2nd floor?

I saw the second floor of the house, but I didn't walk up to the fountain. :)

Ya know, I was just thinking, why not have the parts where you look into the viewer thing auto-bump links so that you don't have to go down any stairs? Is that possible in the middle of a frame?
