Jnes. You can get it here: http://www.emulator-zone.com/doc.php/nes/jnes.html

I started using it because Nesticle just didn't work anymore. Plus, it recognized and let me use my Gravis Gamepad Pro USB.

Be sure to play in full screen mode though, windowed mode is terribly slow (as it is for many games)

Thanks much. Works nice... the sound is better, too.
And oddly enough, not only did we both use nesticle, but I also
a Gravis Gamepad Pro. hmmm...
Anyhow, thanks alot.

I suggest Nesten which you can obtain at http://www.zophar.net

Hey! I have a gravis gamepad pro USB too! Although I opened it up and mutilated the underside of the D-pad a little bit to make it more precise(no going in one direction while pressing another).

Nesten doesn't want to work on my system for some reason, which is too bad. Its a wonderful emulator if your system can handle it, which mine should. But I get some fatal error everytime I try loadind rom with it.

Indeed, I also use FCE Ultra. It even runs Startropics properly, and has excellent timing.
