View Full Version : Unification SE Progress?

Since the Ressurection Project wasn't accepted too well, I decided to split it back into 3 seperate quests. I did it because of the reason above and Unification 3.

Anyway, I've been working on Unification SE (Seems like a miracle, but it is true).

I have big plans for this thing. It is more than just a small revamp of the quest. It has whole new dungeon and overworld sections. I will also be changing to a different set of Link tiles soon enough.

Level 1 (which used to have a small set of rooms you could blast through in about 2 minutes) now has 2 floors of action. The first floor itself has had a few changes to it to avoid the players who play the 1.90 version then come to this one to blast through again. Also avoids repetition. Level 1 will also have a... CUSTOM BOSS!!!! It will be easy, but it is a custom boss. The old Level 1 boss is now a mini boss.

Level 1 is still basically an introduction level with a small amount of puzzles and enemies. A demo should be out once I get some of the overworld around it layer filled. This quest will be for 104, but it will be recommended to play it in 152 (for the new enemy tiles I'll be doing soon).

I'll have some screenshots of a few areas coming up in a few minutes. They won't look very different from Unification (the dungeon tiles are the same in Level 1, but some newfirst and lttp dungeon styles will be found in later levels), but they are.

Comments? I know this is mostly a BS Zelda Quest, but try to stay with me here. The overworld is a R2/BS Zelda hybrid right now.

Edit: Two screenshots to entertain you. They are not anything special because I just picked them at random.

Keep in mind I'm still in the process of changing the graphics.

I'm starting to not like how this will turn out. The BS Zelda tiles are not very popular anymore. The enemies and Link stand out dramatically against the R2 tiles I added in. I'm thinking of switching where the tileset is going again.

Yeah that may work better

Problem is. I don't know where to take it. Suggestions anyone?

You could do what i did with blue....(Newfirst/R2 with a Coral syle Link) Seen Here: http://www.zelda-gaming.com/azc/uploads/Blue1.jpg Although I'm probably the only one who likes it.
Or, creating your own BS-Newfirst Link Like K-Teclis did in Link's First Adventure...

Hmm. Cloral Link with R2 tiles would look kind of neat I think. Anyone else think that?

Send him over. I might use him. :)

I tried to do Orion's Link with R2 tiles, but it turned out looking so similar to the BS Link.
