I think JJ spent a great deal of time discussing the future of SS with War Lord and they ultimately decided it wasn't doing as well as either of them had hoped and planned, so they pretty much tossed it :shrug:

I never went there, but it still sucks because I am just now starting a quest and am looking for tiles.

Well Sprite Spot was not really the place for that. We still have ZC DevEx. Go there. Or go to A&E and request something. :thumbsup:
