charmap

All right I'm pissed. How do I use the character map in Windows ME? I can't do any of that ALT+120 stuff and it pisses me off because I need to on a regular basis. How do I access char map?

I used to be able to just run "charmap" from the command prompt, but it doesn't work with ME. I was only able to do that with Windows 2000.

Please help me:(

Start Menu -> Programs -> Accessories -> System Tools

I have no clue why it's in there.

Make sure you're not using the numbers above the letters, you have to use the numpad on the right. Also, check to see that numlock is on, I've made that mistake before, and got very very pissed at my computer. *blushes*

Odd. Go to the control panel. Open the add/remove programs utility and click the Windows Setup tab. Look for it in there somewhere. The character map is probably an optional feature.

bleh, so do you type , like " I am a ALT+1026." or something, or do you type "I am a " ALT+1025"."

Basically, the alt+number combo just substitutes in for the char.
