I've had it with spam and freeze errors! i need help!

1. AOL freezes regularly on me
2. AOL kicks me off regularly
3. it has a built in IE system, making it IMPOSSIBLE to alt+f4 most spam.
4. i suspect a fatal glitch in my AOL, which could make it VERY dangerous to use, for certain reasons.
5. its damned slow, even for a 56k!


Can anyone direct me to a *free* dial-up internet service provider with no real catches? i would certainly appreciate it...

I can't help with most of that, but I can offer 1 piece of advice. It won't help with the kicks though.

Download Opera. Then install it.
Once you have connected to AOL minimize the AOL window. And the open up Opera. Opera should realize that you are connected to the net, and you should be able to browse with that.

May I ask why you have AOL?

Get broadband. It might be a bit more expensive, but it's worth it.
