Anybody ever had this problem with their CD player? I start it to play and it spins up then stops then spins up then stops then spins up then gives up altogether like it's trying really hard to do something but not getting anywhere. Anybody ever have this problem or solved it? :( My Aiwa stereo doesn't work. :(

My big CD Player / Radio / Cassette Player does that. It started doing that about a year ago so I use my portable one all the time now.

I just found a CD Player Repair FAQ and it seems pretty thorough. I think I'm gonna crack it open tomorrow and see what's what. ;)

Here Starkist, check it out if ya want.

Good luck JJ. You'll likely need to order some odd part to fix it or something.

For all those CD Players that need an exorcist.

"CD Player chants in Latin and condemns you to hell for all eternity"

I'd say either the CD is dirty... (it starts reading but winds up failing in the end).

What wigs me out sometimes... is when you pop a CD in and the thing spins out of control. Like 4-5 times faster than what it normally spins at... then quits. As if it felt the need to rev up or something
I get MAD RPMS on my CD player
