Holy glayvn. Looks like I lost about 2500 myself. Heh, guess War Lord finally managed to prune some old topics.

I'm almost tempted to stay up and watch the fireworks... sleep beckons, however.

Let me say right now though... if we can't find a way to restore everybody's count to what it was pre-change, then we're not going to change anybody's. No reason for specific people to get special treatment, and there's no way we're manually editing everybody's post counts to a number of their choice (oh uhhh, yeah I had 9254 posts SB. Yeah, that's the ticket. Go fix me).

HOLY CRAP! TSA's gonna be pissed!! That makes me kind of wonder...who lost their custom avatar priviledges? Poor Flashman only has 170 posts now!

I did try pruning earlier, though I didn't believe it had pruned that many posts. Fact of the matter is, we need to get the size of the forum SQL database down. Having it at around 700 megs just isn't viable.

While I am sorry that you lost posts, you have to realize you aren't the only one. That's how VB works, your post count, is linked to the topics and posts you make, once deleted, so are your posts associated.

I will look into this further, and if it is that big of a deal, I have a forum backup from yesterday, and I may revert now after seeing the dratic effects.

I had no idea deleting posts older than 415 days would take away so much.

OK, back to becoming a noble

and sorry about me making a topic with the same thing in it, didn't realize this topic existed.

Actually TSA and I don't have alot of our posts accounted for, so you can't delete our posts that were never there. When we had like new profiles put together WL set our post counts.

Edit: NM, apparently whenever he did that it must have recalulated post totals, now I'm under 1,000 posts. On the upside the post count under people's names isn't there.

I don't think I lost any... but I don't know how many I had. I haven't been here a year yet anyways so that would explain it.

JJ lost just about everything like you Mott.

This all came because I had to have a new account created. My old one was deleted...and now...Karma, Bitch, ALL of my old posts, regardless of age, are gone.

Sucks, huh?
