The Toilet Paper Question

When you mount a roll of toilet paper, do you prefer to let the loose end hang out or would you rather have the loose end out of sight facing the wall.

It is nice to have it out but if you own a cat it is best to have it in or you could end up with a pile of TP on the floor.
