Off to a karate tournament.

I'm going for pretty much all day to a karate tournament. I'll be competing in the kumite (sparring), open-hand kata, weapons kata, and synchronized kata divisions. Wish me luck!

Sounds really cool. I was going to join my school's karate academy, but in the end, I just didn't. I should really take some type of martial arts though.

Silver in kata and gold in weapons kata. BOOYAH!

In kata it was a three-way tie. They made us all do another kata (the first one you learn) and then it ended up being a two-way tie between myself and another guy. So they lowered my mark a smidge.

In weapons since I got a gold, I went on to the grand championship. Since most of the people had left by then, it was between me and a black belt whose specialty is weapons. I think you know who won that one.
