I have to get oral surgery done next Wednesday. I have an impacted tooth, so they have to cut my gum open and yank on it with a chain and oh I don't know what else.

Yep, this is gonna hurt.

6 and a half more days to live.

Just what you needed, another hole in your head, right? j/k
Both my wife and daughter had this done.
They knock you out with a shot or laughing gas.
You'll be talking to the doc one sec., the next stumbling out of his office.
You will be sore a few days, but it is better than having a tooth growing in your head sideways.

I've been through it for wisdom teeth. They knocked me out with gas, and I was sore for a week.

But this time, I'll be awake for the proceedure. :(

I've had a similar procedure done, except my teeth were being held up by the teeth that they were next to. The most pain that I felt during the entire surgery was when they stuck an IV into me.

That's exactly what an impacted tooth is. My molar can't grow because it is caught by the other molar it's next to.

So it really doesn't hurt that bad?
