420 or 440 stainless steel blade?

What's the difference? 440 is stronger or what? Is it worth not buying a sword if the blade is 420? Wha....??

According to this, 420 stainless steel has a lower carbon content, thus it isn't as hard. If you only plan to use this sword as decoration, this grade is just fine.

There's a couple swords I'm looking at now for decoration but both are 420. As long as they polish well, that's fine.

But any samurai sword would do. Hell, I'd even take classes.

And I would keep it to myself. Hell, I wouldn't even let someone else take it from one end of the room to the other without at least two shinto priests by his side. Preferably more.

Oh MAN! I saw two full Samuri Sword and dagger sets in a thrift/pawn/consignment shop, and they were only 150 apiece (complete set, they were going out of business.). But as I siad before, I'm not allowed to buy any until I move out of home.
